There's three benefits I have found from buying at Amazon:
#1 Prices are generally equal to or lower than at physical stores.
#2 You don't pay sales Tax. This is a huge benefit especially if you buy expensive items.
#3 Free Shipping. Amazon offers free shipping on items sold from Amazon for total orders over $25. You save on time and gas by having the item shipped right to your door.
There are some disadvantages of buying online and they are:
#1 You need to wait for the item to arrive since it has to ship. Normally takes 2-4 days.
#2 You don't get to physically see the item. You can't try and clothes, see how a TV looks, etc.
#3 Returns are more difficult because you would need to mail the item back.
